Delhi University Introduces MBA Business Analytics Course

The Delhi University Executive Council has given the green light to an exciting new venture – the MBA Business Analytics course. Gear up and get ready to dive into the world of business analytics right at the heart of the Department of Commerce.

The University of Delhi is all set to shake things up with its latest addition – the MBA Business Analytics course. With a promising start of 76 seats, this program is gearing up to equip students with the skills needed to decode the language of data and turn it into strategic insights.

At the helm of this groundbreaking decision was none other than Prof. Yogesh Singh, the Vice Chancellor of Delhi University. The Executive Council meeting was the stage where the recommendations from the Finance Committee meeting held on August 17, 2023, got the seal of approval.

The Breakdown of Seats

The MBA Business Analytics course will open its doors with a total of 60 seats, distributed as follows:

  • 40.50% for the Unreserved category
  • 27% for Other Backward Classes (OBC)
  • 15% for Scheduled Castes (SC)
  • 7.5% for Scheduled Tribes (ST)
  • 10% for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS)
  • 5% for Children/Widows of Armed Forces Personnel (CW)
  • 5% for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD)
  • 10% for foreign students under the supernumerary quota

And that’s not all – 4 seats are reserved under the PG Ward Quota, with 2 for teaching staff and 2 for non-teaching staff. That brings the total count to an exciting 76 seats!

The agenda of the Executive Council meeting didn’t stop at introducing the new course. The university also gave the nod to unaudited annual accounts, budget estimates for the financial year 2022-23, and other crucial financial decisions. This just shows the dedication of the university to providing quality education and opportunities for growth.
